The first Marini's was opened by Giuseppe Marini (snr) over 40 years ago in Burnbank, Hamilton. In 1990 Giuseppe's son Sep Marini took control of the shops, and has expanded into the largest independent fish and chips shop chain in Scotland.
Marini's Fish and Chip shops offer top quality fish'n'chips, pizza, pasta and Equi's award-winning ice cream throughout Glasgow and Central Scotland.
All our food is freshly prepared each day using the finest ingredients to ensure the quality taste our customers expect from Marini's. At Marini's we continually try and source the best quality ingredients. Our fish is delivered daily direct from Aberdeen, where we employ our own fish buyers who has over 30 years experience in the fish trade. Every fish supper we sell has been carefully picked and then hand filleted, to ensure that you only receive the freshest quality fish.
Marini's have won countless awards over the years, with the best being in 2003 when our Largs branch won the 'Fish and Chip Shop of the Year' award. Marini's also hold the world record for the most fish suppers sold in one day, 12406.
Marini's believe in helping good causes and over the years have donated money and raffle prizes for various different charities. The biggest donation most notably being, whenever Marini's opens a new shop they donate the first two days takings to a local charity, which has boosted the amount of money raised for charity to over £50,000 to date.
